About the Role

We're looking for a Perimeter Security Engineer to join an innovative project in the healthcare technology space, contributing to the development and security of cloud-based infrastructure that supports critical data services.

In this role, you will own and optimize perimeter security controls across hybrid environments. You'll work hands-on with technologies like Palo Alto firewalls, AWS Network Firewall, AWS WAF, and VPN/IPSec tunnels. You'll also interact with external stakeholders when configuring secure connections.

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage and secure the network edge infrastructure.

• Configure and tune Palo Alto firewalls, AWS WAF, AWS Network Firewall, and VPC settings.

• Set up and troubleshoot VPNs and customer IPSec tunnels, ensuring secure communication with third-party systems.

• Standardize perimeter security practices across cloud and on-premise environments.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external technical contacts to implement, monitor, and support VPN configurations.

• Monitor security metrics and proactively adjust controls to address vulnerabilities.

• Maintain clear documentation of configurations and procedures.

What You Bring

• 4+ years of experience in network or perimeter security roles, ideally in hybrid cloud environments.

• Hands-on expertise with Palo Alto firewalls and AWS security services (WAF, Network Firewall, VPC).

• Solid knowledge of IPSec, VPN protocols, and customer-to-cloud secure tunnel setup.

• Experience troubleshooting and tuning perimeter security components.

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills in English, including direct collaboration with external partners.

• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

• Bonus: experience in the healthcare industry or working under compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA).
