Senior QA Engineer

**Location:** Uruguay - Argentina (Buenos Aires)
There will be occasional meetings in Uruguay.

ASAP is hiring a **senior QA engineer for a US fintech company** who is passionate about software quality and test automation. You’ll be the go-to expert for designing scalable QA processes and ensuring our products are reliable, performant, and user-ready.

**What You’ll Do**

* Define and implement QA strategies, test plans, and automation frameworks.
* Balance manual and automated testing to align with product goals.
* Lead UAT with internal teams and beta users.
* Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to build testable features.
* Champion quality across the software development lifecycle.
* Guide junior QA engineers (this is a technical leadership role, not a direct people management position).

**What We’re Looking For**

* 10+ years in QA Engineering, with deep expertise in automation.
* 5+ years of hands-on automation experience with tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
* 5+ years in software development with strong programming fundamentals.
* Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred).
* Strong skills in REST API testing and tools like Postman, Curl.
* Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter.
* Experience with code coverage analysis and test optimization.
* AI-curious and experienced in using AI tools to increase QA efficiency.
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical mindset.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
* Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams.
