Welcome Back is looking for a Head of Engineering

Welcome Back started 18 months ago and we have 150+ clients in 10 countries. We have raised over $250k in capital to build the world's first AI-native POS.

We need someone who understands what that means in terms of architecture and who can build it.

Your role:

• Lead the end-to-end engineering team: architecture, technical decisions, and infrastructure.
• You will be the person who designs and builds the AI layer of the product.
• Integrate different payment providers into the POS such as Fintoc, SumUp, Klap, Mercado Pago.
• We are looking for someone who knows how to lead a technical team with clarity and direction, who communicates well upwards and downwards, and who builds trust with both engineers and founders.

What we are looking for:

• 4+ years of engineering experience, with at least one year leading teams
• Strong infrastructure: Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS
• Experience designing products where AI is structural to the product, not a decorative layer
• Knowledge of integrations with PSPs and payment processors, bonus if you have worked with Fintoc, SumUp, or Mercado Pago
• Natural leadership: ability to provide direction, create context, and help grow team members
• Natural communicator, with a knack for translating technical complexity into business decisions

Conditions:

• Full-time, in-person 4 days a week
• Office in Vitacura with Vespucio, Santiago
• Salary: 3,000,000 – 5,000,000 CLP/month depending on experience
