Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll help design and implement robust, secure, and scalable data ingestion pipelines that connect healthcare systems with advanced analytics platforms. You’ll work across both legacy and modern architectures to automate data flows and deliver clean, high-quality datasets that drive business decisions and support patient care.


Responsibilities

  • Design and build ingestion pipelines for healthcare claims and clinical data using modern data engineering tools
  • Perform unit testing, debugging, and peer reviews to ensure code quality and system performance
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve data architecture and integration strategies
  • Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, grooming, demos) and update tasks in Jira
  • Maintain and improve legacy data connectors while building new scalable solutions
  • Ensure data quality through validation processes and provide clear technical documentation
  • Participate in cross-functional discussions to continuously improve development workflows and delivery

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational database design
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Spark (preferably with Scala)
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases and cloud environments (AWS preferred)
  • Experience working with data ingestion frameworks and tools (e.g., Kafka, NiFi)
  • Working knowledge of Python and Java for data processing
  • Bonus: Previous experience working with healthcare datasets and analytics
