ASAP is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for a US fintech, who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys solving complex problems with scalable solutions. You’ll be part of a fast-paced, cross-functional team shaping the foundation of our backend services and driving key architectural decisions.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable backend systems.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to define and deliver impactful features.
• Ensure performance, security, and scalability across all services.
• Lead technical initiatives and mentor junior developers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot production issues to drive continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of experience in backend development.
• 10+ years in software engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python.
• Expertise in RESTful API design and database technologies.
• Strong experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with OAuth and secure authentication mechanisms.
• Proven ability to integrate and consume third-party APIs.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture and best practices.
• Experience using AI tools to enhance development velocity and product capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
